Clara "Judy" Blankenship

Clara “Judy” Blankenship, 71, of Ripley passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born September 29, 1950 in Ripley a daughter of the late Denny and Delphia Rhodes Casto. Judy worked at Kroger and Shoney’s for many years and would always greet you with a smile and have a kind word to say. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed watching her granddaughter in all her activities. She also enjoyed fishing. Judy was very involved in church and was a faithful member of the Mercy Baptist Church. Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Allen Blankenship; children Daniel Brian Blankenship and Linda Belle Blankenship; granddaughter Alyssa Belle Blankenship; great-granddaughter Kennady Belle Sheets; brothers Billy and John Casto. In addition to her parents Judy was preceded in death by infant twin sons Travis Allen and Robert Layton Blankenship and a brother, Robert Casto. A funeral service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 11th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Bradley Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery, Evans.
