Clarence "Bub" Barnette

Clarence “Bub” Junior Barnette II, 68, of Ripley passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023.

He was born August 30, 1955 in Columbus, OH a son of the late Clarence and Barbara June (Buck) Barnette. Bub worked in the construction trade and was member of the Boilermakers Union Local #667 of Winfield and Union Local #1085 of Parkersburg. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, NASCAR, Ohio State Football, a good conversation and spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Bub is survived by his children Chelsea Barnette of Fargo, ND and Carrie Barnette-Pearson (Jeremy) of Ripley; brothers Dale Barnette (Karen) and Darrell Barnette and grandchildren Shaynia Wilhelmi (Caylin) of Ripley, Bailey, Jeremy Jr. and Abby Pearson of North Dakota and Sage Pearson of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by a great-grandchild Violet of Phoenix, AZ.

In addition to his parents Bub was preceded in death by a sister, Julia “Cheryl” Casto.

A memorial service to celebrate Bub’s life will be held 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 6th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Following the service, the family asks that you bring a dish and join them in the Parsons-Vail Family Center located inside the funeral home for a time of food and fellowship.
