Clarence E. Crihfield

Clarence Eugene Crihfield, 88, of Ripley passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley.

Clarence was born January 30, 1937 in Okeechobee, FL a son of the late William Ernest and Esta Mae (Hatcher) Crihfield.

Clarence was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for Ford Motor Company as an assembly technician and would retire with 30 years of service. Clarence loved West Virginia and enjoyed all the beauty it had to offer. He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid fisherman and loved to work in his garden. He also enjoyed cooking and baking as well

Clarence is survived by his daughter Lisa McKinstry; grandchildren Ashley Reese (Micheal) and Patrick McKinstry. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Logan Gullett, Aubrey Gullet and Aleigha Crihfield.

In addition to his parents Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Crihfield; son Michael Crihfield; grandson Jeremy Crihfield and siblings Ona Castille, Orlie Hughes, Clyde Crihfield, Ondell “Pete” Crihfield, Wanda Crihfield and Myrtle Crihfield.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Parsons Cemetery at Gay. Military Rites will be rendered by the Jackson County Honor Guard.
