Clifford Butcher

Clifford Butcher, 87 of Ripley, passed away August 28, 2021 at his home following a long illness. He was born June 4, 1934 in Chapmanville, WV, son of the late Emmitt and Rosa Shad Butcher. Clifford retired from the Ford Motor Company in Ohio with 37 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and digging for ginseng. Clifford attended the Evans Church of God and many were blessed by his praise and worship. He loved people and sharing his testimony. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Orpha Butcher; his son Clifford Butcher Jr. of Ohio; three step-sons, Randy (Sherry) Good, Robert (Tena) Good and Ricky Good: sisters Bonnie Coney and Mary Scarberry; brothers Clint Butcher and Mike Butcher . He was beloved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death brothers Wilson Butcher and Calhoon Butcher. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Ben Riggleman officiating. Entombment will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
