Clinton William Good

Clinton William Good, 84, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family following a long illness. He was born December 6, 1932 at Advent, WV a son of the late Troy Clinton and Bessie Smith Good. Clinton worked many years as an ironworker for Union Local 787. He was a true patriot and a Combat Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War as a member of the reconnaissance unit. He was an avid coon hunter and charter member of the Jackson County Coon Hunters Association. He was a very skilled craftsman who could build anything, loved gardening, bluegrass music and attending church at Centennial Church. He is survived by his children Teresa Miller(Raymond), Wesley Clinton Good(Gail), Carolyn Sharp(Larry), and Karen Barnette(Dale); Grandchildren Jeremiah, Joshua, Shannon, Shane, Sonda, Clint, Randy, Travis, Troy, Mitchell, Canden, Sheldon, and Tiffany; 28 great-grandchildren with twins on the way; Brother Larry Good. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years and 5 months Hattie Virginia Adkins Good. Infant Daughter, Betty Lou Good. Sisters Berthal Counts, Marie Jones, Harriet Bayes, Oleta Romine, and Diana Morrison. The family would also like to thank Denver Lee Haynes for his faithful friendship through the years. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Melhorn officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with Military Rites by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Fairplain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation.
