Colton Keith Holmes

Colton Keith Holmes, 21 of Ripley passed away October 1, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born January 31, 1995 in Charleston, the son of Keith and Terri Holmes. Colton was a Christian and member of the Ripley Baptist Temple. He was a graduate of Ripley High School in the Class of 2013 and was attending Bridge Valley Community and Technical College, studying Electrical Engineering Technology and Electomechanical Instrumentation. He previously attended West Virginia University. He enjoyed working summers as an intern at Constellium Rolled Products. Colton loved the outdoors, especially the family farm where he spent most of his free time. He had an infectious smile and had a heart full of love and compassion. He was loved dearly by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Orville Holmes. Colton is survived by his loving parents and family, Keith and Terri Holmes; sister Kelsey Holmes; grandparents Ron and Mildred Morgan and Rosalie Holmes; uncles and aunts Rock (Jeanie) Holmes, Vicki (Chuck) Cavender, Tim (Liz) Holmes and Kendall (Mary) Morgan along with numerous cousins. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will follow in the Holmes Cemetery on the family farm in Ripley. Friends may call on the family from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the funeral home.
