Cora Stewart Bourgeois

Cora Stewart Bourgeois, 88, of Ripley passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at Ravenswood Care Center following an extended illness. She was born April 17, 1931 in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Everette E. and Ione Parsons Stewart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bourgeois Jr.; daughter, Linda and son, David; sister Genevee Anderson; brothers Ohley C. Stewart, Vernon W. Stewart, Glenver C. Stewart and Raymond A. Stewart; half brother Harvey Gandee and a grandson, Patrick Wayne Curry. Cora attended church at the Sidneyville United Methodist Church. She is survived by Daughters Bonnie Curry (John) of Ripley and Rachel Bourgeois of Ravenswood, Jennifer June Gandee of Ripley; daughter-in-law Sandra Bourgeois of Ripley. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-granchildren. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, September 19th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery on Ravenswood Pike.
