Coy Dwight Cummings

Coy Dwight Cummings, 81, of Statts Mills, WV passed suddenly on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home.

Dwight was born February 7, 1942 in Ripley, a son of the late Coy and Mytrle Westfall Cummings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Recca Dunbar and brothers Lowell and Rodney Cummings.

Dwight graduated from Ripley High School Class of 1961. He was a member of Siniaville Community Church and USW Local #5668 and retired with 38 years of service from Ravenswood Aluminum.

Dwight is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise Finch Cummings; daughters Tina (Wyatt) McClain, Sharon (Johnny) Kay; son-in-law Bill Dunbar; grandchildren Treska Dawn Dunbar, Barbie Louise Dunbar, Scottie Dunbar, Jacob Kay (fiancée Jaymie Danford) and Samantha Jo (Zane) Smith.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m.Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sinaiville Cemetery, Statts Mills. Following the committal service there will be a time of food and fellowship at the Siniaville Church.
