Dale Ray Kerns

Dale Ray Kerns, 80 of Kenna, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Miletree Center in Spencer following an extended illness.

He was born July 29, 1942 in Kenna, son of the late Kenneth Clyde and Lottie Cordellia Southall Kerns. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Icie Kerns; brothers Hansford Kerns, Clyde Kerns, Emzy Kerns, Richard Kerns, Otho Kerns and Denver Kerns; sisters Eurada Kerns, Frances Kerns, Izetta Kerns and Sue Ellen Kerns and a grandson, Jerry Dale Kerns II.

Dale loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved spending time with his family and his church family.

He is survived by sons Jerry Dale Kerns (Mary), Terry Kerns and daughter Hazel Kerns; Dale was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Nellie Mae Kerns Ingram and Sherry Juanita Kerns Sheppard.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Goshen Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Owens officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Burial will follow in the Kerns Cemetery, Kenna.
