Danita Easter,80, of Ripley passed away peacefully Sunday, January 27, 2024 at the home of her daughter in Blounts Creek, NC

Danita was born August 5, 1943 at Pikeville, KY to the late Robert and Junie Belle (Mullins) Steele.

Danita enjoyed collecting penguins of all sizes, was an avid reader, and was an animal lover who enjoyed watching the birds and loved her cats. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Danita is survived by her children Alicia Eubanks (Eddie) and Jeff Easter and grandsons Ian Easter and Conner Rodeberg.

In addition to her parents Danita was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Ralph Clayton Easter and a brother, Gregory Steele.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 2nd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jeff Keffer officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Salt Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
