Danny Hollister

Charles Daniel “Danny” Hollister, 66 of Cottageville passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

Danny was born August 27, 1956 in Gassaway, WV, son of the late Addison and Lena Singleton Hollister. In his younger days he worked for Hertz Rent-a-Car and General Electric and retired from Century Aluminum. He loved old cars and trucks, golfing and Riding Motorcycles especially his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Drema Clendenin Hollister; his children, Christina Berry, Richard Dallas Hollister, Christopher Daniel Hollister and Jeremy Donohew; step-children, David Gandee, Melissa Gandee, Rebecca Gandee and Jamie Gandee; brother Jimmy Singleton; sisters Linda Boggess and Patty Lanier; grandchildren Abagail Hollister, Madalyn England, Reese Gandee, Ranse Gandee, Kacey Rhodes, Jackie Gandee and Zane Scarberry; great grandchildren Casen Durst, Trapper Lloyd, Rowdy Wurtz, and Konnor June Gandee.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday October 19, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Mark Price officiating. Burial with military Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville WV. A time of visitation with the family will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
