Darrell Franklin Casto

Darrell Franklin Casto, 79, of Ripley went to his heavenly home after a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley.

Darrell was born October 20, 1943 to the late Warren and Myrtle (Monday) Casto of Goldtown. Darrell was an entrepreneur who together with his former wife owned Casto Auto Parts, which later became Casto Truck Sales. They sold trucks and equipment to many different states and countries and were known for helping everyone in their community who was in need.

Darrell is survived by his children Kathy (Mike) Shafer and David (Patty) Casto of Fairplain; grandchildren Kristen (Joe) Gooch of Ripley, Samantha (Nathan) Reynolds of Ripley and Andrew Casto of Parkersburg; great-grandchildren Eastlynn Gooch and Maverick Reynolds. Darrell is also survived by sisters Robin Kersey and Loretta Hall and his former wife Maggie Casto.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by siblings Betty Casto and Jimmy Casto.

A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 20th at the Duff Cemetery in Goldtown.
