Darrell Dwain Simons

Darrell Dwain Simons, 74, of Akron, OH formerly of Sandyville passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 28, 1947 a son of the late Dan and Belva Richards Simons. Darrell retired from Chrysler of Akron Ohio with 30 years of service. Darrell’s passion was coon hunting and spending time with family and friends. Darrell is survived by his wife of 38 years Diane Simons; children Kimberly Simons Milburn (Ralph) of Akron, Karol Lee Simons of Ripley, Danny Simons (Nicole) of Akron; stepsons Fred Miles (Daniella) of Virginia, Butch Miles (Karen) of Ohio and Clint Miles of Ohio; grandhchildren Joshua Simons (Ashly) of Akron, Kristopher Scott (Amanda) of Ripley, Jacob Lewis, Devin Miles, Ashley Thenicci, Benjamin Miles (Melissa) great-grandchildern Kayce Lee Scott, Jayda Lewis, Dominick Devon Portor, Rylee Alexander Miles; caretaker Brittany Portor; brothers Charles Simons (Debbie) of Virginia and David Simons of Sandyville; sisters Dorris Blankenship (Donnie) of Ripley and Carolyn Stywalt (Kurt) of Akron. In addition to his parents Darrell was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Casto and brothers Carol, Don and Ray Simons. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor David Hinzman officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
