Darrell G. Woods

Darrell G. Woods, 85 of Leroy, Jackson County passed away January 31, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston following a long illness. He was born October 29, 1929 at Strange Creek, Braxton County, WV, a son of the late Charles and Zella Bennett Woods. He is an Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and was Honorably Discharge from the service as a Sargent First Class. He retired from Ravenswood Aluminum Company, formerly Kaiser Aluminum, and was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church in Frozen Camp. He enjoyed Farming. He is survived by his wife of 58 �_ years, Wanda Browning Woods; a son Bradley Woods of Ripley; daughter Amy Jordan and her husband Kevin of Pt. Pleasant; grandchildren Caleb Woods, Zachary Woods, Jenna Woods and Kassidy Jordan; brothers Delmes Woods of Ravenswood, Dorles Woods of Ohio, Demil Woods of Texas, Dencil Woods of Strange Creek, WV and Dana Woods of Idaho; sister Louise Samples of Mt. Lookout, WV. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Mill Creek Baptist Church, Frozen Camp with Pastor Bob Keen officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Grove Cemetery, Frozen Camp. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service at the Church.
