David "Buddy" Haynes, 67 of Gay passed away July 2, 2015 at is home following a long illness. He was born October 7, 1947 at Charleston son of the late Clovis and Wavie Rhodes Haynes . He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. "Buddy" retired from the City of Charleston as a Garage Supervisor and also worked for Haynes Wrecker Service. He will be remembered as a Loving Husband, Father and Grandpa and was always willing to help if you were in need. He is survived by his wife Betty Harper Haynes; sons Chuck (Pamela) Haynes of Ripley; Buddy (his friend Mindy) Haynes of Ripley; daughter Jennifer (Clint) Wilson of Spencer; brother Johnny Haynes; sisters Ruth Beane of Sissonville, Maxine Pensa of Chicago and Evelyn Crowder of Florida; grandchildren Brandon, Gregory, Michael, Danielle, Mason and Victoria Haynes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Jack, Joe and Keith Haynes; sisters Mary Yost, Dorothy Noble and Jean Church. In honoring his wishes, a Private Graveside Service was be held at Siniaville Cemetery, Statts Mill. Donations may be made to Hospice in Buddy's memory.
