David M. Hyre

David M. Hyre, 84, of Ripley, WV, went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2026. He was a son of the late Herb and Dolly Hyre.

Left to cherish David’s memory is his beloved wife of 37 years, Barbara Hyre; son, Michael Stipech the 3rd; daughter, Patricia Youngman; and his brother, Richard Hyre.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, Gene Hyre.

David enjoyed hill climbing in his spare time and will be remembered for his faith and love of his family.

A funeral service will be held at Waybright Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25th at 12p.m. with pastor Steve Raines officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 11a.m. until the service. Following the service, a meal will take place in the Parsons-Vail family center. Burial will be announced at a later date and will take place in the Mount Hope cemetery out Joe’s Run in Sandyville.
