David M. Moore

David Marion Moore, 81, of Ripley passed away February 14, 2025 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.

David was born March 9, 1943 in Ona, WV a son of the late Jesse and Maymie (Dunfee) Moore. He was a graduate of Ripley High School and dedicated many years to his career at Kaiser Aluminum before retiring. He was a proud member of Union Local 5668.

David’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He pastored several churches and found immense joy in playing music and singing in church. His love for people extended to visiting nursing homes, where he cherished conversations with residents and shard his gift of music.

In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth and a brother, Wesley.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie (Munday) Moore; children Diane (Jim) Rhodes, Betsy (Bart) McClain, Meika (Mayford) Siders; stepchildren Dwayne (Cathy) Fields and Kim (Rick) Gobble; grandchildren Jessica (Patrick) Thompson, Julie (Don) Jordan, Jalissa (Russell) Conger, Marlana (Tyler) Siders, Michael (Voni) Siders and Nicholas McClain; stepgrandchildren Chipper (Stacy) Fields, Lindsey (Brucie) Keeney, Ritchie (Kelsea) Gobble and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Hope Coen and brother Gary Moore.
