David Richard Whitehouse

David Richard Whitehouse, 63, of Gay left this world on July 16, 2026.

He was born on March 3, 1963 at Parkersburg, WV a son of the late Floyd Richard and Dottie Lou (Harmon) Whitehouse. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Lelia Whitehouse, Garnet Harmon and a sister Cindy Rhodes.

Left to carry on his legacy of giving to all those he loved is his wife, Marlene Whitehouse; daughter Lianne Katris (Lane); son Darren Whitehouse (Christy) ; adored grandchildren Heidi Boggess, Daxon Whitehouse, Mayleigh Whitehouse and Troy Katris; sister Lori Casto (Shannon). He is also survived by his favorite Michael Rhodes, nephews Eric and Derek Rhodes. As well as several special nieces and nephews he considered his own and many close family and friends that he loved like siblings and Grandma Brenda, his Ohio grandma.

He loved to give or assist in many projects and was often referred to as Dave Mart. The favorite title given by his grandchildren was Grumpa. They knew even though he was grumpy, he was going to provide their hearts desire. He will be missed by many.
