Deborah Stone

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Stone, 69 of Sandyville, peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2023 while in the comfort of her home while spending time with her loved ones.

Debbie was born July 14, 1954, in Charleston, daughter of the late Esmond “Smokie” and Lula Bell Hancock Duffey. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking, playing Yahtzee and enjoying her fur baby, Peaches. Debbie’s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 52 years, John “Tom” Stone Jr; her children, Tonya (Joe) Bertagnolli, John “Tommy” (Laura) Stone III and Denise (Ronnie) Woodall; her “Baby brother” Bill (Joan) Duffey; sisters, Carolyn (Bill) Kerns and Abby (Lester) Hancock; grandchildren, Cheyenne Stone, Marisa Bertagnolli, John “Thomas” Stone IV, Anthony “A.J.” Bertagnolli, Shelley Miller and Samantha Keeling and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her close friend, Donna Collins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia Bertagnolli and siblings, Dewey Duffey, Gary Duffey and Sharlene Tucker and her father and mother-in-law, John and Ollie Stone.

The family is honoring her wishes for cremation. A memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Bud McVay officiating. Following the service, there will be a time of visitation with the family.
