Delano Blaine Ellis, Jr., 61, of Ripley passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston following an extended illness. He was born June 24, 1955 at Ravenna, OH a son of Fern Davis and the late Delano Blaine Ellis, Sr. He graduated from Ripley High School with the Class of 1973 and later worked as a sales consultant for Bert Wolfe Ford. He was also a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Elizabeth. He is survived by son Adam Paul Ellis of Ripley; Daughters Amanda Winland (Brandon) of Mt. Alto and Andrea Donohew (Chad) of Leon; Mother Fern Joyce(Daniel) of Blacksburg, VA; Brother Timothy Wayne Ellis of Blacksburg, VA; Half Sister Heather Danielle Joyce (Mark Williams) of Blacksburg, VA; Grandchildren Ava Rose Winland, Savannah Joy Winland, Addyson Elaine Donohew, Amelia Reign Donohew, and Aziah River Ellis. Also survived by special uncle Thomas Davis and special friend Jane Paxton. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by infant grandson Ethan Wayne Donohew. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 with Pastor Jeff Keffer officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
