Delbert Eugene Anderson

Delbert Eugene Anderson, 77 of Ripley passed away December 19, 2015 at Charleston Memorial Hospital. He was born June 17, 1928 in Jackson County, a son of the late Ovie and Dora Jeffries Anderson. He worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways and The Jackson County Commission on Aging where he drove bus for the Senior Citizens. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his dog "Sparky." He loved playing Bluegrass Music and played the Banjo for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia Scarberry Anderson; sons Don (Marsha) Anderson, James "Jimmy" (Belinda) Anderson, Thomas "Tommie" (Monica) Anderson, Ricky (Helen) Anderson, Randy (Roxanne) Anderson and Michael (Jenny Jo) Anderson; sister Norma Jean Fisher; also survived by 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Anderson and Elvia White. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor David Fields officiating. Burial will be in the Jeffries Cemetery, Gay, WV. Friends may call on the family from 11 am until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Delbert's memory be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
