Delbert E. Tackett Sr.

Delbert E. Tackett Sr., 73 of Millwood, passed away February 28, 2019 at Jackson General Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born November 23, 1945 at Liberty, a son of the late Howard and Ernie Horne Tackett. He was a US Army Veteran and retired from Century Aluminum as a Welder and enjoyed working on and selling used cars, fishing and being around people for a good conversation. He is survived by the mother of his children Charlotte Tackett; his children, Doris Canterbury, Delbert (Alisha) Tackett, Daniel (Trish) Tackett, Charlie (Crystal Hall) Tackett, DeWayne (Amber) Tackett, Ernie Tackett, David Tackett, Douglas (Jody) Tackett and Donald (Jennifer)Tackett; grandchildren, Jackson, Shawn, Rebecca, Diana, Gary, Abbey, Haley, Caitlin, Bailey, Christopher, Addison, Alexis and Corbin; brothers Lawrence Tackett and Darrell Tackett; sister, Dorothy Thorn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister Kathryn DeLong and brothers Howard, and Robert Tackett. In honoring his wishes there will be a private service for the family with interment at the Horn Cemetery, Kenna. Waybright Funeral Home is serving the family.
