Della Stinson Smith, Jr., 65 of Kenna, passed away December 12, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, following a long illness. He was born December 8, 1952 in Kanawha County, a son of the late Stinson and Nona Good Smith. He was a graduate of Sissonville High School where he played football. He worked as a Mechanic and Heavy Equipment Operator in the Coal Mines and also as a Logger. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Burdette Smith; sons Stinson Scott Smith and Aaron Charles Smith; daughters Angela Mobley, Tara Brooke Smith, Sierra Smith and Nicole Smith; sisters Eugena Beckner and Myrtle Ann Shamblin; granddaughter Miranda Bird; great granddaughter, Ariel Pate, and his dog, Maggot. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Smith. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Carl Casto officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.
