Delmar Lewis Parrish

Delmar L. Parrish Delmar Lewis Parrish, 93, of Parrish Hill Road., Ripley, passed away on February 4, 2013. He was born on September 1, 1919 and was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He was a veteran of WW II, serving with the 96th Infantry on Okinawa where he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a farmer and heavy equipment operator in road construction. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lola Blanche Winebrenner Parrish. Surviving: Children, Michael Parrish (Jackie) of Cottageville, Christy "Trudy" Jones (Phil) of Ripley, Jeanne Stephens (William) of Parrish Hill Road, Paula Casale (Pete) of New York; Grandchildren, Jamie Stephens, Whit Parrish, Brittany Pistelli, Tiffiny Huffman, and Kacie Countys; Great-grandchildren, Ty and Fisher Stephens and Devin Huffman. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 6, at 11 a.m. at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Keen officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Parrish Hill Cemetery.
