Delmer R Richards

Delmer R. Richards, 65, of Ravenswood passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born February 8, 1954 at Sandyville a son of the late Hubert Paul and Violet Shockey Richards. Delmer was a handyman who enjoyed working on all different types of equipment. He also enjoyed hunting, mowing yards, and cutting wood. Most of all he enjoyed helping others. He is survived by siblings Larry Richards of Ravenswood, James Richards of Ravenswood, Linda Richards of Sandyville, Lorna Kidder of Ravenswood, Denzil Richards of Ravenswood, Earl Richards of Sandyville, and Margery Richards of Ripley; half brothers and sisters Travis Richards, Trissa White, and Tonya White. He is also survived by several niece and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friend Shirley Hodge. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers John and William Richards and half brother Hubert Paul Richards Jr. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, April 1st at the Mt. Hope Church, Sandyville. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Mt.Hope Cemetery.
