Deloris Arlene (King) Stover, 79, of Ripley passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley.
Deloris was born February 23, 1946 at Charleston, WV a daughter of the late Kermit “Clark” and Violet (Hinzman) King.
Deloris was a very faithful and dedicated member of the Goldtown Community Church and was always there to help any way she could. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, helped make easter eggs and prepared many dinners through the years.
She is survived by her children, Joseph W. (Ruth) Stover II, Karen (Eddie) Stover Bumpus and Mark Christopher Stover; grandchildren, Dayna White, Haley Stover, Schuyler Stover and Jenna White; great granddaughter, Nora Jenkins; siblings Brenda Wolfe (Mike), Carolyn Bryant (Robert), Connie Parsons (Guy), Donna Johnson (Jeff) and Timothy King (Joyce). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph W. Stover and an infant daughter.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday November 3rd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Robbie Bumpus officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
