Dennis D. Pickens

Dennis Dale Pickens, 77, of Sandyville passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House following an extended illness. He was born September 18, 1942 at Sandyville, a son of the late Gus and Vesta Maddox Pickens. He was a steelworker for Ames and in his spare enjoyed working on cars and welding. He is survived by his Daughter, Lisa Burnem and husband Evan; brother Charles Pickens and wife Carol; sister Sharon Staats and husband Jim. He is also survived by two grandsons Kolton and Jackson Hughes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Flo Pickens. Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, October 10th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jarrod Caltrider officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
