Denver G. Welch

Denver Graham Welch, 76, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Camden Clark Medical Center.

Denver was born June 21, 1947 at Sutton, WV a son of the late James Mont and Mary Marie (Green) Welch.

Denver proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1967-1972 and was stationed at Fort Lewis. In earlier years Denver loved to fish as well as spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sheree (Morris) Welch; stepsons Bryan Horne and Steven Horne (Jennifer); brother Tommy Welch (Shirl); grandchildren Haley Painter, J.T. Horne (Olivia), Brody Horne and Blake Horne; great-grandchildren Weston Painter and Anastasia Horne; cousin who was like a sister, Norma Cutlip; cousin Charlie Bolen; sister-in-law Kelly Booth; brother-in-law Mike Morris (Kelly) and nephew Isaac Booth. Denver is also survived by several cousins and extend family

In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by a sister, June Rose.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, December 17th at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastors Charlie Bolen and Franklin Howerton officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Denver’s memory to West Ripley Baptist Church, directed to the International Missions Board.
