Dessie Smith

Dessie May Smith 74 of Advent passed away July 17, 2013 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley following a long illness. She was born October 6, 1938 at Advent a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Vernie Chapman Smith. She was a farmer and attended the Stonelick Church. She is survived by two sisters Bessie and Ella Smith both of Advent. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Carl and Dennis Smith and a sister Maldine Smith. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Butch Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery, Advent. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 pm and on Friday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
