Dewain E. Boyce

Dewain E. Boyce, 71, of Sandyville passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus with his family at his side following a long illness. He was born September 14, 1946 at Parkersburg, a son of the late Earl Clyde and Ethel Marie Seals Boyce. He enjoyed farming, fishing, taking four wheeler rides, and visiting friends. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia Bonnet Boyce; Son Darrell Boyce of Ripley; Daughters Carole Abbott of Sandyville, Penny Nuzum (Jeff) of of Sandyville, and Peggy Parsons (David) of Gay; Grandchildren Joshua Abbott, Aaron Abbott, Brian Abbott (Ashley), Michael Abbott, Shawn Richards, Jr., Amanda Toney, Travis Richards, Ashley Boyce, and Taylor Nuzum; Great Grandchildren Brian Abbott II, Alexis Toney, and Erin Abbott. He is also survived by special uncle Charles Boyce and special cousin Tim Boyce. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with John Gunther officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society to further cancer research.
