Diana Harrison Crank Newhouse passed away early Friday, January 15th, at the Hubbard House in Charleston after a long illness. She dedicated her life to helping others. As a member of the Hillbreed Family Band, she helped to raise money for many causes over the last forty years. Most notably, the Hillbreed for Kids charity, who raise money for underprivileged children. She always made her home open to many, who needed a place to stay. She is called mom by many more than the children she bore. She was preceded in death by her husband Doug Crank. She is survived by husband Vernon Newhouse, daughters Coda Crank (David Anderson) and Sarah Ball (Nick) stepdaughters Janet Beverly (Marshall), and Maria Crank and granddaughter Piper, stepsons Josh and Jacob Newhouse, and their children, parents James and Joyce Harrison, sister Susan Wray (Roger) brothers Dave and Mark Harrison, Nieces and Nephews, and many friends and family. Visitation will be at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Dana Reed officiating.
