Donald Ray Casto

Donald Ray Casto, 89 of Given, passed away on July 24, 2024, at home with his family after a long illness. He was born on October 27, 1934, in Rock Castle, WV, the son of the late Orville and Nancy Casto. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Helen Jean Casto, sisters, Maxine McKown, Dottie Lingerfelt, Polly Kimberling; brothers, Delmer Casto and Raymond Casto. He is survived by his children, Brenda (Glenn) Robinson of Kenna, Steve Casto of Given, and Connie (Gary) Tolley of Given. Grandchildren Lori (Austin) Fisher of Given, Travis (Michele) Brotherton of Given, Stephen Casto of St. Albans, Matthew Casto of Los Angeles, California, Brandon Tolley of Charleston, and Cody (Masonne) Tolley of Given. Great Grandchildren Tatum and Maverick Brotherton of Given, and Brady, Carson and Connor Fisher of Given, sisters, Mary Cyrus of Fayetteville, NC, and Mertie Dewees of Leon. He worked many years at Mountaineer Euclid and retired from the Dunbar Police Department as dispatcher. After many years living in Dunbar, he spent his remaining years farming and living in Given. He attended Walker Chapel Church.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Larry Woody officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Rockcastle. Friends may call on the family from 11:30 am until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
