Donald Jones

Donald Wayne Jones, 74, of Ripley passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Charleston Memorial Hospital. He was born January 7, 1942 at Belle, a son of the late Lonnie and Laoma Casto Jones. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marines and served in Vietnam. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a Christian by Faith and was a faithful member of the Grasslick Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. His love in life was his grandchildren and he loved woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cora Seese Jones; his daughter Felicity Kelley and her husband Joseph; his grandchildren, Cora Jane Kelley and David Joseph Kelley; brother Vernon Jones and his wife Mary of League City, TX; sisters Barbara Monroe and her husband Fred of Ripley and Anna Loftin and her husband Jack of Grafton, OH. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers J.B. Jones, Roy Jones, Jim Jones and Lonnie Jones. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Grasslick Baptist Church, Kenna with Pastor Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Grasslick Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Monday at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service at the church.
