Dora Lee Goff-Parsons, 66, of Ripley passed away October 23, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Dora was born July 8, 1958 in Tacoma, Washington a daughter of Frances (Lewellen) Goff and the late Howard Nelson Goff II and. Dora was a retired U.S. Army veteran with 25 years of service between active duty and reserve status. She was deployed to conflicts in Macedonia and Kosovo. Dora will be remembered as a selfless individual who always made sure everyone was always taken care of before herself. She also had a deep fascination for genealogy and enjoyed all the research and connections she made.
Dora is survived by her husband, Michael Parsons; children Corrie Runnion, Kaitlin Cranfield and Robert Cranfield; brothers Kenneth Goff and Howard Goff II (JoAnn); sisters Margaret Bailey and Barbara Garner (Ken) and grandchildren Madyson, Braedyn, Brantley, Bryson, Oliver, Anson, Kassidy and Kristian. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews
In addition to her father Dora was preceded in death by brothers William and Michael Cutlip.
A memorial service to celebrate Dora’s life will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 29th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
