Doris May

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Alberta West-May, age 82, of Ripley, WV. She departed this world on Sunday, April 20, 2026.

Doris was a loving mother to Dorisa West, Angela West-Hunter, Maxel West Jr., Lisa West-Cook, and Ashlee May. She will be deeply missed by her granddaughters, Rayne Hunter and Kambel Cook, who adored her as the greatest Granny ever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Madge and Moody Parsons of Gay, WV, and several siblings.

Doris enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters. She was an avid puzzler and spent much of her free time making crafts, including beading and solving crosswords. She loved to fish with her best friend, Kathy. She also loved travelling to Florida and California to visit her daughters.

At her request, there will be no service or funeral. We simply ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
