Dorothy Ellene Casto

Dorothy Ellene Casto, 87, of Ripley passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley following an extended illness.

Dorothy was born September 25, 1935 in Walker, WV a daughter of the late David Kenna and Nina Comer Casto. Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of Ripley High School. Following high school Dorothy was employed at the Spencer Sweater Factory for 45 year. While Dorothy never had any children of her own, she was a motherly figure to all of her siblings and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is survived by a sister Deloris Casto Stutler. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by siblings Dewight Lewis Casto, Dewaine Lee Casto, Denzil Casto, Denvil Ray Casto, David Jay Casto and Donna Marie Steele. She was also preceded in death by infant sister Carolyn Sue Casto.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 24th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Adam Conant officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
