Dorothy Jean Cook

Dorothy Jean Cook, 57, of Point Pleasant, WV went home to be with her Lord on September 23, 2025. She was born on November 2, 1967, to the Late Jimmy and Genavee Anderson. Dorothy loved to spend time with family any chance she got. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, wonderful cooking skills, and her faith; she worshiped at Faith Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by brothers, Everett Anderson and Terry Anderson; and sisters, Sharon Wilson and Mary Ann Williams.

Dorothy is survived by many including her beloved husband Galen Cook of 15 years with whom she would have shared an anniversary next month; daughters Kelsey (David) Casto and Laura Frazier; brothers David (Linda) Anderson, James (Kandell) Anderson; sisters Bernice Casto and Charlotte (John) Warmowski; sister-in-law Margaret Anderson; Grandchildren David “Hemi” Casto, Shelly Casto, Sidney Toney, Joey Casto, Zaiden Crihfield, and Trinity Crihfield; special friends, Gina Ramsey, and Stephanie Southall; along with a magnitude of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, October 4th at Waybright Funeral Home at 1p.m. with pastor Adam Nester officiating. Visitation will be from 11a.m. until the time of the service and burial will follow on the Anderson Park Cemetery in Ripley.
