Dorothy L. Grady

Dorothy L. Grady, 87 of Ripley, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. She was born August 15, 1932 in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Roy and Janie Rhodes Mitchell. She loved to work puzzles and had a special place in her heart for animals. She enjoyed watching and feeding all the animals. She is survived by her children, Joe (Sandy) Grady and Vicky Lynn (Gil) Ricks; grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Hickman, David Alan Ricks, Preston James Ricks, Benji Reynolds, Joseph Roy Grady II and Emily Ann Grady; brothers Bubby Mitchell and Junior Mitchell; sisters Violet Burdette, Anna Lee McCrady and Barbara Freeman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Everett Grady; son, Randall Charles Grady; brothers Lawrence, Gay, Buddy and infant brother, Franklin Mitchell Mitchell and sister Evelyn Willis. Funeral Service will be 11 am Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the funeral home.
