Dorothy Madeline Page-Atkinson, 97 of Summerville, SC, formerly of Ripley, passed away May 10, 2026, at Low Country Hospice, Summerville, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born on July 16, 1928, at Mammoth, daughter of the late Luster and Belva Harmon Comer. She was a graduate of East Bank High School. She retired as a School Cook or Jackson County Schools after 32 years of Service mostly at Ripley Middle School. She was a Christian and member of the Ripley Baptist Temple where she taught Sunday School for 38 years and was a leader for the Awana’s Youth Group. Dorothy enjoyed Square Dancing and Traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Page, second husband, Jack Atkinson and sister Ruby Raines.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Adams, and Kathy Page; grandchildren, Rachel True, Whitney Putillion, Rebekah Person, Lindsey Thrash, Sarah Adams and Connor Putillion; she is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Fairplain Cemetery, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating.
