In Loving Memory of Dorsel A. Harrison

Dorsel A. Harrison was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 2, 2026, after years of enduring life's hardships with remarkable faith, strength, and perseverance.

Though his earthly journey was marked by suffering with Dementia and challenges, he never lost sight of the promises of God and the hope found in Jesus Christ. A devoted Christian man, Dorsel lived his life guided by faith, humility, and love for his family and fellow man. His unwavering trust in the Lord served as an inspiration to all who knew him. Through every trial he faced, he demonstrated courage, grace, and a steadfast belief that God's plan was greater than any earthly struggle.

Dorsel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought comfort and wisdom to those around him. He cherished time spent with family, valued hard work, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. While his loved ones grieve his passing, they find peace in knowing that his suffering has ended and that he has entered into eternal rest. The words of Scripture offer comfort during this time: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7 Dorsel leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Virginia Charlene Harrison, one daughter: Regina (Rondus W.) Casto, two sons: Dwayne (Karen) and Greg (Bridgett Divers), grandchildren whom he dearly loved: Rondus A.(Courtney) Casto, Jamie (Danielle) Casto, Derek (Paige) Harrison,Brittani Harrison Hall and Destiny Divers. great grandchildren: Isaiah, Dylann, Jay Jay, Brooke, Remi and Gracelyn Casto, Carter, Caylee ,Dutton Harrison, Braylee Hall. Payson Barr, Zander Sisk and Mason Mills.

The family would like to thank Hospice for their kindness and support as well as his caregivers: Jeanie & Greg and Marsha Jarrell who was just like a daughter to him. And of course, mommy was his everything. I also want to thank Goshen Church Choir and Preacher Alan Owen’s for his visits and holding dad’s service, he thought there was no other than you. A special thank you to all friends and family that took time to stop in and check on dad.

A celebration of Dorsel's life will be held at Goshen Baptist Church on Kentuck Road on Saturday, June 6 2026 at 4 p.m. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose faith carried him through life's storms and whose reward is now eternal peace in the presence of his Savior. He is now dancing on the streets of Gold awaiting the arrival of the rest of his family. Online memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.waybrightfunerlahome.com
