Dorsel Haynes, 82 of Sandyville passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Jackson General Hospital following a long illness. He was born November 30, 1929 at Sandyville a son of the late Clyde and Cozie Randolph Haynes. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and worked at the O. Ames Plant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Isabelle Pickens Haynes; two infant children Stephen and Darlene Haynes; brothers Dale, Chester and Clay Haynes and a sister Georgia Ericsson. He is survived by his children Kenneth Haynes of Gay, Debbie (Allen ) Young of Sandyville and Pam (Phil) Brown of Cottageville; sister Naomi Butler of Lake of the Woods, VA; grandchildren Dawn Hubbard, Kenneth Haynes Jr., Leslie (Mickey) Young and Derek Brown. Also survived by five great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 11 am Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Elmer Miller officiating. Burial with Veterans Rites provided by American Legion Post 107 will be in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
