Dr. Christopher Todd Short

Dr. Christopher Todd Short, 40, of Ripley passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Christopher was born in Parkersburg on September 15, 1983 to parents Lela Ann (Boggess) Walker and the late Stephen Wayne Short I. He enjoyed collecting Magic: The Gathering cards and playing the games associated with them. He also enjoyed the outdoors, spending time hiking, backpacking, camping and fishing. Christopher was also very strong in his Catholic faith. Recently Christopher had been caring for his grandmother, whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his mother he is survived by half-brother Stephen Wayne Short II; half sister Mary Cathryn Kemp; grandmother Arlene (Young) Boggess; best friend of many years, Derek Bowman and his wife Lyndsey and their children Aiden, Jace and Tristan. Christopher is also survived by 2 goddaughters, Scarlett and Adeline Sylvester as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In addition to his father, Christopher was preceded in death by a half brother, Colby Kyer; paternal grandparents Roma Lee Short Jr and Cathryn (Steele) Short; maternal grandfather William Cecil Boggess Sr and his beloved Boxer, Molly.
