Dwight Oley Godbey, 64 of Kenna, passed away July 14, 2021 at his home following a long illness. He was born December 29, 1956 at Kentuck, Jackson County, a son of the late Oley Edward and Susan Skeens Godbey. He was a tree trimmer for Asplundh Tree Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding ATV’s. His greatest love was being with family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janie Utt Godbey; daughter Kim Cullen (Daniel Mitchell) and son Daniel (Elizabeth) Godbey; sisters, Judy (Charles) Casto, Opal (Larry) Casto, Nancy Jarvis, Audrey (Ron) Legg, Donnie (D.D.) Parsons, Nellie (Larry) Parsons and sister-in-law Betty Godbey; grandchildren, Bailey, Peyton and Grayson Godbey, Madison Cullen and Colton and Lucas Mitchell. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Buck Godbey, and sisters, Betty (Charlie) Knopp, Melba (Albert) Counts, Phyllis Godbey, Janet Godbey and Joyce Godbey. Funeral Service will be 5:00 pm Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Mike Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Skeens-Counts Cemetery, Kenna.
