Edward Beckett

Edward D. Beckett, 86 of Bainbridge, OH, formally of Ripley passed away November 24, 2015 at the Chillicothe VA Hospital following a long illness. He was born November 6, 1929 in Braxton County, WV, a soon of the late Junior and Opal Carr Beckett. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways after 19 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Hilda Beckett. He is survived by his daughters, Gayle Whitcomb and her husband John, Mary Isham and her husband Rick, Teresa Beckett, Marsha Jarrell, Sara Blackwell and Carol Gibson and her husband Joey; son Edward "Eddie" Beckett; sisters Shirley Samino and Barbara LaBonnett; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial with Military honors provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard wil be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.
