Edward "Eddie" Cummings

Edward (Eddie) L. Cummings, 84, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at his residence. He was born September 1, 1939, in West Virginia, son of the late Rufas and Luda Cummings.

He retired from the Jackson County School system as a bus mechanic.

Eddie is survived by his sister, Juanita Raines; daughter, Tracy (Mark) Magyar; son, Jeff (Becky) Cummings; son, Jay (Laura) Cummings; 6 grandchildren, Luke, Jodi, Jarad, Ashley, Kathleen, and Cassidy; and 2 great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Penelope.

In lieu of a traditional service, his request for cremation is being honored and the family will be holding a private ceremony.

Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, is serving the family. Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
