At sunset on April 12, 2016, Edward Blaine Dodd was carried to the feet of Jesus on the wings of angels. Son of Ned and Hilda (Blain) Dodd, his loved ones include his high school sweetheart and wife Ada Grace (Karr) Dodd; sons John, Matt (Jamie), and Mick; daughters Rebecca and Dee (Steve); grandchildren Ed and Laurel (David); five grandchildren; cousin John Harold Caudil (Diane); brother-in-law Ralph Nuckles; niece Patti (Bob) Snyder, and their daughters Missy (Larry) and Mendi (Mark); nephews Ron Nuckles (Lisa) and children Marc (Michele) and Kim (Steve), and Rob Nuckles and son Devon. Ed was preceded in death by sister-in-law Lois Marie (Karr) Nuckles. Ed served in the Air Force and was retired from the North Carolina educational system. A member of Kentucky Colonels, Rockingham Masonic Lodge, and Tennessee Squires. Ed loved life, good conversation, his pets, and helping anyone in need. He was saved by God's grace and was a devoted member of the Parchment Valley Baptist Church. Friends will be received Friday, April 15, from 6-8PM at Waybright Funeral Home, and services will be conducted at noon Saturday by Pastors Matthew Ash and Herman Robinson at Parchment Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Ripley.
