Edward Dale Huffman

Edward Dale Huffman, 72 of Ripley, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born August 1, 1950 in Clover, Roane County, son of the late Carlis Huffman and Irene Huffman Summers. He served his country in the US Army and worked as a carpenter and also on oil rigs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Melissa Donat, Christina Huffman, Amy Rhodes, Seth Rhodes, Shelly Nichols and Liz Rhodes; siblings, Orland Huffman, Sharon Domer, Patricia Paxton and Larry Moore; grandchildren, Kasondra Rhodes, William Rhodes Jr., Chase Kidd, Damin Kidd, Donata Kidd, Dillon Summers, Breanna Lowe, Dustin Rhodes, Destiny Rhodes, Andrea Nichols, Adrian Nichols, Ashley Nichols, Randy Nichols and Amber Nichols; great grandchildren, Christopher Reed, Alaina Hanson, William Rhodes II, Mikaha Rhodes, Chase Kidd II, Megan Kidd, Flokie Kidd, Elijah Kidd, Piper Kidd, Sean Sumers, Braylee Rhodes, Macie Rhodes, Myleena Carter, Gregory Carter, Remington Rhodes, Weston Hoschar and Jamie Montgomery.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his long time companion, Valerie Rhodes, siblings Freda Greathouse and Phillip Holcomb and his grandparents, Boyd and Mary Huffman and Amos and Martha Moore.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery near Spencer. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
