Eleanor Frances Hamon

Eleanor Frances Hamon, 83, of Ripley went to be with Jesus on October 29, 2026. She was born on July 21, 1943, in Charleston, WV; a daughter to the late Brady and Mary Johnson.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Ken Hamon; her son, Scott Hamon; and her brother, Everett Johnson.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Greg Hamon (Dreama); daughter, Tami Cox (Gary); grandchildren, Brandon Hamon, Brian (Jill) Hamon, Ethan Cox, and Emily (Dakota) Haynes; ten great-grandchildren; and her brother, Gary Johnson.

Eleanor took great pride in tending to her home and enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved to read her bible and was always quick to quote the scripture for any occasion. Eleanor was also an avid charity supporter and loved to give back to her community.

A funeral service will be held at 12p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Waybright funeral home of Ripley. Friends are encouraged to join the family from 11a.m. until the service time with burial following in the Fairplain Cemetery.
