Elizabeth Lorraine Vannoy

Elizabeth Lorraine (Hamon) Vannoy departed this world on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

She was born March 27, 1961 in Ripley, WV and was a proud graudate of Ripley High School Class of 1979. She married her best friend Rusty (Russell L. Vannoy Jr) on November 10, 1979 and has missed him dearly since his passing May 31, 2021.

Lorrie is preceded in death by her parents, Starling and Ruth (Knott) Hamon and her sister, Rita Vae (Hamon) Diehl.

She is survived by many loved ones including her daughters Anna Swisher (Marshall) and Aime Dewees (Jeremy Taylor); grandchildren Syvanna, Brianna, Joey and Gavyn; sisters Sidnea Fankhouser, Trulah Castaneda and Shelley Hamon. She was also known as “Maw” to many who she took in and cared for over the years.

Per her wishes, Lorrie will be laid to rest with the love of her life at a later date. We ask for you to do a good deed in her honor.
