Elladean Marie Ray

Elladean Marie (Fields) Ray, 81, of Aplin Ridge, Gay, WV passed away peacefully on September 19, 2022.

Elladean was born on July 29, 1941 to the late Roy and Ophelia (Cox) Fields. She graduated from Ripley High School in 1959 before becoming a mother and a homemaker. As a lifelong member of Aplin Church, she found great joy in participating anytime the doors were open for worship.

In addition to her parent, Elladean was preceded in death by her sisters Evadean (Buck) Casto, Ernestine (Rex) Reed and Cathleen Fields; her brother, Billy Fields and son, Frank Ray.

Elladean is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billy Ray; her son Tim (Karen) Ray; daughter-in-law Barbie Ray; sister-in-law Debbie Fields; grandsons John Ray (Casey Murphy) and Travis Bostic (Lynn Burke); granddaughter Maggie (Shawn) Cooper, great-grandchildren Hunter Bostic, Sydney Cooper and Malia Cooper. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
